From its inception the Kiwanis Foundation of Tierrasanta has been
primarily focused on carrying forward the club’s Serra High School
scholarship program established in 1982 and prior to 1997 administered
through the Kiwanis California-Nevada-Hawaii District Foundation. With
the support of many over the years, in 2007 Foundation assets grew to over
$100,000 with approximately $7,000 awarded as scholarships to
Tierrasanta and Murphy Canyon students. It is the goal of the Foundation
to increase the number and amounts of scholarships to provide greater
assistance to outstanding graduating Serra High School seniors.
